Magic, Music, and Mischief: A Look Back at Our Hogwarts-Themed May Signature Experience

At Marsh’s Edge, we love any excuse to bring a little extra magic into our Members’ lives, but this May, we took that quite literally!

For our highly anticipated May Signature Experience, we traded in the lowcountry charm of St. Simons Island for the hallowed halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was an unforgettable evening filled with immersive decor, spellbinding entertainment, and a feast fit for the Great Hall.

Sorting Hats & House Pride

The enchantment began at our Sorting Hat Happy Hour. As Members arrived, the Sorting Hat designated everyone into their respective Hogwarts houses.

Many arrived donning traditional house robes, clutching wands, and ready to defend their house’s honor. From the bravery of Gryffindor to the ambition of Slytherin, the wisdom of Ravenclaw, and the loyalty of Hufflepuff, the friendly rivalry was palpable as everyone enthusiastically competed for the coveted House Cup.

Stepping Into the Great Hall

After happy hour, Members passed through Platform 9¾ and stepped into the Oglethorpe Ballroom, which had been completely reimagined into the Hogwarts Great Hall.

The attention to detail was truly outstanding. There were dozens of candles floating gracefully from the ceiling, Marauder’s Map runners lined the tables, and magical decor elements transported everyone straight into the pages of their favorite fantasy world.

A Feast Worthy of Dumbledore

A trip to Hogwarts wouldn’t be complete without a spectacular British-inspired feast. The Marsh’s Edge culinary team absolutely outdid themselves with a curated menu that was as delicious as it was creative:

  • To Start: A warm, comforting bowl of traditional Pumpkin Soup.
  • The Main Course: A British classic—Bangers & Mash paired with perfectly seasoned mushy peas.
  • The Grand Finale: Rich, decadent Chocolate Mousse served alongside custom Chocolate Frogs (thankfully, these ones didn’t hop away!).

Dancing the Night Away

As the feast concluded, local favorite band “The Vibe” took the stage. They kept the energy high all evening, playing hits that got our witches and wizards out of their seats and dancing throughout the night.
