Walking Towards a Brighter Future for Alzheimer’s Care & Research
In 2021, Senior Living Communities raised $187,412 benefiting the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and the Alzheimer’s Association.
Each year with more than 600 communities nationwide participating, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s National Team
Alzheimer’s Disease is a cause that is near and dear to our hearts at Senior Living Communities. Each day our teams work to provide compassionate, person-centered care for those who have and are affected by Alzheimer’s Disease and different forms of dementia. Senior Living Communities is registered as a National Team for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, dedicated with a fundraising goal of $100,000 per year. All 15 communities at SLC are registered to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and each one hosts a multitude of fundraising events throughout the year. From car washes and grand galas to golf tournaments and raffles, there’s a way for everyone to participate in fundraising for this cause.
Senior Living Communities has been a proud National Sponsor of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, donating over $500,000 since 2018. In 2021, SLC raised $187,412 and finished as the #12 ranked National Team in fundraising. Funds raised through this event assist in raising awareness, supporting families and those with Alzheimer’s, as well as fundraising for research to ultimately find a cure and #ENDALZ.
