Senior Living
dots

At Senior Living Communities, our goal is to help our members live a longer, healthier, happier life independently in their own home. Great friends, exquisite food, gorgeous surroundings and an accommodating staff offer you and your family peace of mind and incomparable value.

Socialization
One of the most important advantages of our communities is the opportunity for socialization. The ability for people to attend events and parties, interact with one another, enjoy the camaraderie, and simply be surrounded by people with similar interests is a vital ingredient to happiness.

Maintenance-free living
We do your work. You no longer have to worry about tracking down a plumber, a painter or a Mr. Fix-It. If something breaks in your home or turns brown in your yard, we will fix or replace it and we’ll do it quickly and efficiently.

"We wanted to be as independently active as we could for as long as we could in our own home."
—Jim Langston, Marsh’s Edge

Amenities and services
Having weekly housekeeping and extensive social calendar, transportation, a delicious dinner prepared for you daily, fitness programs, bills paid, taxes covered, access to a library and computers, and all maintenance, all at your fingertips, is a welcomed reassurance. Appreciation Letters Cooking classes, educational programs, golf leagues, bridge clubs, bible studies, cultural outings, day trips, as well as errands, doctor appointments, and trips to the mall, are all regular occurrences at Senior Living Communities. Members never lack for things to do or people to do them with.

Wellness Program
We provide the environment, encouragement, education and resources to help you stay healthy – physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. Our Wellness Centers feature state-of-the-art exercise equipment, exercise room for classes, and a heated indoor therapy pool for water exercise. Our Wellness Coordinators incorporate information from our research partner Wake Forest University into our classes and programming, instituting a variety of opportunities for our members to stay moving, shaking and motivated.

Personalization
Just like where you live now, this is your home with your stuff. Bring your furniture, your décor and all the pictures and memories your house or villa can hold and decorate to your liking.

Independence
This is the whole goal, right? Live long, live well and live independently? However, if an occasion arises when our members need additional assistance, they can rely on us to get them to the doctor, the grocery store or pharmacy. For people who need daily assistance, we are partnered with Live Long WellCare which provides in-home caregivers ready to lend a helping hand. This is true independence; we are there if and when needed, but you are still in charge.

Security
Our communities are gated. They are staffed 24 hours a day. And if there is an emergency, help is simply a push-button away. Our staff will arrive within minutes to provide care or assist you.

Transportation
Senior Living Communities provides regularly scheduled transportation to points of interest like the grocery store and pharmacy, as well as events around town like the mall, festivals or the movies. We also have transportation services if our members need to visit the doctor or hospital and cannot drive on their own.

Pets
We love pets. Our owner has two big dogs himself. So your faithful companions are welcome additions to Senior Living Communities. When moving to a retirement campus, many people find the many lifestyle changes a bit overwhelming. Often having the companionship of a long-time friend such as the family pet can be very calming and reassuring that some things will never change! Pets also demand the outdoors and our communities provide a safe area for you to get out and go for a walk with your buddy.

Emergency Call System
All homes have an emergency notification system as well as smoke detectors which alert our 24-hour staff inside the community as to what emergency services are needed. Our immediate response can make all the difference. This system is in the form of a push button/pull cord transmitter mounted on the wall of every bathroom. Pendant or bracelet transmitters may be worn as well for additional peace of mind.
